Corrections - Bob Franklin, not just a funny guy
For two days in mid December director of photography Marty Smith was locked inside the mind of comedian, Bob Franklin - and the result is not funny at all.
The short film "Corrections" marks the directorial debut for the comedian and for cast and crew the experience was intense.
Shot on location in Parkville, Melbourne the film explores society's fascination with body image. The film, penned by the actor/comedian, is dark and intense and will show how adept he is with working in alternative genres.
Produced by wunderkinds, Darren McFarlane and Ben Grogan and starring remarkable performances by Roz Hammond (Receptionist), Brooke Satchwell (Amy Perrin) and Jo Stanley (Sophie Kroll) viewers will be taken on a disturbing trip through the lens of horror fan, Franklin.
The film is currently in post production with company Resolution Independent, and will be available on the website as soon as possible.
Congratulations to Bob who did an amazing job with his cast and crew. Congratulations also to Production Designer Justin Dix and his art department for their outstanding work and providing a wonderful set to shoot in.
Finally sincere thanks to Karl Engler for the lighting package, and Nigel and Greg at Panavision for the SonyF900 and Panavision Digital Primo's.
